Junior High Performance Program

Junior High Performance Program (13-15 years old) 

Our Junior High Performance program (Jr. HP) is the second of three levels to our sprint canoe kayak programs.The Jr HP program is designed to build off the skills learnt in the development program and further progress the competitive side of our sport. We introduce athletes to what a high performance training program looks like while continuing to teach intermediate paddling skills fitness, teamwork and encouraging fun!

Athletes in this program train 4-6 times a week. A combination of paddling practices and dryland practices and are expected to attend regattas in the summer months.

If you are interested in joining this program but have no paddling experience, don't worry! We want to help you join the program that best fits your needs.For example, if you are a 14 year old kids interested in Jr HP training we will start you in development to gain balance and basic skills and then progress you quickly to Jr HP where you will be happiest!

Abby is a paddler in our Jr HP program who was invited to compete in the BC summer Games in Cowichan Valley. She won 2 bronze medals!

Training Schedule: 


Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday: 4:30-6:00pm

Thursday: 6:30am-7:30am

Saturday: 8:00am-10:00am


Times TBD (4-6 practices a week)
