Learn/ Train to Compete

The Learn/ Train to Compete program focuses on providing athletes with advanced canoe and kayak skills. It prepares them for regional, provincial and national level regattas by developing speed, strength, power and endurance. Athletes in the HP program must previously been registered in the FUNdamentals or Jr. HP programs.

Many of our athletes strive to be on the Provincial team and compete at the National Championships, while our other members love the program for the social and general fitness benefits.

Athletes in the Learn/ Train to Compete program train 6-12 times a week and are expected to compete at regattas.
