Paddle All
Paddle All (CAN BC Partner) -ages 8-24yrs with Developmental Disabilities please email programs@fortcanoekayak.ca to register!
- Our Paddle-All promotes participation in canoe/kayak for autistic individuals and others with developmental disabilities ages 8-25 years who require assistance to participate meaningfully in sport.
- Although all abilities are welcome, participants must be comfortable being on water, have some swimming ability (but all will be wearing personal floatation devices) and will be in a boat by themselves, so be able to follow basic directions.
- Participants do NOT need to be eligible for Special Olympics
Who? ages 8-24 (turning 8 in 2024). individuals with developmental disabilities requiring assistance to participate meaningfully in sport (no diagnosis required)
Experience? Beginners welcome, no previous paddling experience necessary
When? Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, or Thursdays! - Register for the 12:30-2pm session or 2:30-4pm session. Each session happens once a week throughout the summer! Specific dates are on the registration page linked above.
What? Learn to canoe and kayak. Also learn about water safety, coordination, and teamwork!
Where?
Depending on weather and river conditions, the location of the program may vary between:
- Paddlesport Dock at Bedford Channel in Fort Langley, Langley Township, BC (map)
- Salmon River Dock at Memorial Grove in Fort Langley, Langley Township, BC (map)
